The French team of padel will have to do without Jessica Ginier for the World Cup in Dubai, the fault of a hip not completely restored. The Lyonnaise promises us her 100% comeback for 2023. In the meantime, she hopes to be able to “a knock” during the French championships with his partner Lucile Pothier.

“An injury prevents me from giving the maximum”

"I have had a hip impingement since giving birth. I can't play multiple matches in the same day. The hip is damaged, I'm not 100%.

That's why, I told Robin (the captain of the French ladies team) that for the moment, I wanted to suspend my career in the France team.

But be careful, I intend to come back with the hope of finding Team France in 2023! This is clearly my goal. The pleasure there is so intense, and I know that I have the ability to come back and find my best level.”

Internship too early

“The French team's internship in Barcelona and then the worlds in Dubai was too much. I think physically it wouldn't have been the best option for me. My I would have missed my son too, and if mentally I'm not 100%, I can't give the best for the team.

Given the competition in the team, I'm sure we have other players who will do the job wonderfully.

I am not able to chain several days of padel right now. So doing it during the course would have been impossible, especially since many hours are planned on the slopes.

For now, when I chain too many padel, then I have pain in the hip. Even if the heart is on the slopes with the girls, it is more prudent to take your time.

Goal 2023

“My objective is clearly next year. I was motivated, even this year. I picked up early. I'm not giving up on the France team, quite the contrary. But for now, it's still a bit early.

I train anyway. I haven't stopped completely. Watch out girls, I'm coming! (Laughter)

I have in sight the championships of France for this year. I hope the sequence of matches will not be too hard. With Lucile (Pothier), we hope to do something. We don't set goals. But I know we can be in the last four. We will put everything in place to get there, it will be interesting.

I'm going to celebrate my 30th birthday during the French championships, so I hope the girls will be ready because I won't be giving any presents. On the other hand, I accept gifts with pleasure (Laughter)."
