The P2000 to Padel Horizon as first memory

Jessica : It's been about a year since we decided to play together. I was back after giving birth. I asked Lucile to play with me and she agreed to support me. We get along very well off and on the field. At the beginning of last year it was a bit complicated to find automatisms, because we didn't know each other very well, but at the end of the year we had good results and on the pitch it was felt.

Lucile: The first game that I remember it was then P2000 to Padel Horizon. It was quite stressful because I was playing with “Jess Ginier”. I didn't know her too well and I heard a lot about her, especially her good results with Alix, so obviously I was under a little pressure. I was playing on the left and I went to the right to play with her, it was new benchmarks. We made a quarter-final and we won in three sets. It was a lot of emotions on both sides and I have fond memories of this tournament.

Jessica : We immediately got along well on the pitch. Physically it was still complicated for me. But little by little we found the right automations together. The main thing is our agreement and that was my priority.

If you had to choose one quality and one flaw of your partner, which one would it be?

Jessica : She is very patient, calm, composed, unlike me so we are very complementary on that. For the defect it does not occur to me.

Lucile : I take ! Jessica is a worker, so on the other hand it motivates me. She really gives that image, she made a lot of sacrifices to come back, she is still involved in what she does. After default, I would say that she is “grumpy”. She complains a little on the court, it's not negative but it makes me laugh because we are five years apart and it's up to me to calm her down.

An understanding on and off the pitch that is their strength

Jessica: I tend to go all over the place, do things very quickly without thinking. My strength is also my physical qualities when I am in full possession of my faculties. Lulu manages to be very calm, very poised, mentally we both manage to manage each other and on the pitch we feel this complementarity and that is our strength.

Lucile : Jess is very aggressive on the court. It's true that I tend to be calm, maybe a little too much sometimes and she also pushes me to be more aggressive in my game.

Jessica : We saw it throughout the tournament, there were many girls who took the lead. It's not our style, it's not in our temperament to do that. We support each other and we say things differently without getting upset.

Lucile : She is positive, even when I do something horrible, she tells me " it doesn't matter Lulu we take ". If we see our partner in difficulty, why bury him even more behind?

“To experience moments like that at Roland-Garros would be the Holy Grail”

Jessica: Our objectives are mainly in France, between P2000 and P1500 which will be implemented. Also on the World Padel Tour in Toulouse, where we hope to be able to play. Internationally with the France team and also with the Premier Padel where we want it to be topical for girls. Living moments like that at Roland-Garros would be the Holy Grail. After, do several FIPs or A1 stepsPadel, in terms of organization, it is not simple. We both work, we have to take a week off and we have our family life. It's not every week that we're going to do this, but if we can do it from time to time, why not.

Lucile: We have very nice spouses, so that helps. If we have the opportunity to play international tournaments, we will, but we focus more on the French circuit because we are working. Whether for the WPT stage in Toulouse or Roland-Garros for the Premier Padel, we will do everything to be there. We know that we need to do these tournaments, to gain even more experience.
