Top start of the Individual Open of the European Championships padel 2018 at the Estoril Tennis Club.

hez the ladies, our French pair Audrey Casanova / Laura Clergue is 7 head that allows him to avoid big pairs. There could even be a possible French-French shock in 8e finals against Lea Godallier / Marianne Van Daele dispensed from first round also.

It's not easy to start without a warm-up lap for the girls. Especially since Godallier / Van Daele will have to deliver a big match against the winners of the duel Shana Oyen / Elizabeth Wyckaert (BEL) Vs Marina Afonso / Diana Silva (POR) to hope to reach 8th.

Elodie Damiano / Maï Vo will have a first round not obvious against the Belgian pair Caroline Bailly / Jana Bonnarens. It will be a first round for these two pairs.

The pair Alix Collombon / Jessica Ginier, the champions of France in title, inherits the worst part of the table, since if the first round should not pose too many problems to our French against the Dutch Sabina Schutelaar and Tess van Dinteren, it should play from 16e the Portuguese pair Filipa Mendonça / Ana Catarina Nogueira ... A match that should be played today at 18h.

Unfortunately, a good number of Spanish players have decided not to open.

For men, Bastien Blanque / Johan Bergeron, the French champion pair of padel could reach 8e final to play against the Spanish pair Juan Martin Diaz / Pablo Lijo. Suffice to say that for our French numbers, the objective is to do the job and to be able to afford a match against one of the great figures of the padel professional aka JMD.

The pair vice-champion of France, Jérémy Ritz / Jérémy Scatena has a complicated picture since from the 16e finals it will face the Spanish Guillermo Lahoz and Alejandro Ruiz ... In other words, it will take maximum advantage for our French.

Side Robin Haziza / Maxime Moreau, we will expect a big game in the 16e against the Portuguese iago Santos / Pedro Plantier that we know well in France. The French will be the underdogs of this match, even if the hope remains to play in 8e in front of…. Guillermo Lahoz and Alejandro Ruiz.

The better off among our French, it is clearly Jerome Ferrandez and Loïc Le Panse who have a chance to reach the quarter-finals even if the course promises to be difficult. Indeed, no Portuguese pair, nor Spanish in their part of table.

As with the ladies, not all the Spanish pairs signed up for this Open, leaving some small places for outsiders. In quarterback, we could hope for a big France / Italy match with the magician Marcello Capitani who had hurt France so much a year ago, to the day at the World Championships of padel of Cascais 2016. Marcello will be associated with a serious client: Andres Britos.

Remember that serious things for Team France ladies and gentlemen start tomorrow for the start of the European Championships of padel by team.
