Less than 48 hours after the release of Lisandro Borges on Ale Galan, the Professional Padel Association issued an official statement to respond to the promoter of the World Padel Tour in South America. Unsurprisingly, the players' association, chaired by the world number one, took the defense of the latter and strongly condemned the Argentine's words.

Regarding the words "unjustified"And"unacceptable” by Lisandro Borges, the PPA expresses its support for Galan as well as the other players targeted by these false injury accusations and states: “We will not allow the honesty and professionalism of our colleagues to be called into question. Last season, the players fulfilled their commitments by playing a large number of tournaments despite the risks to their physical integrity."

The organization then specifies that the players not participating in the La Rioja tournament have given their explanations for their absence and that it is at the World Padel Tour to verify these injuries and not to Mr. Borges who is described as “mediocre and disrespectful promoter".

Finally, the PPA concludes in force by specifying that these comments have damaged the image of the circuit and the players, and that the Argentinian must draw the consequences: “We urge those responsible to act vigorously […] and to proceed with the automatic termination of Mr. Borges' contract."

The response from the players' association was therefore quick and not in the lace. The PPA even threatens to take legal action against Lisandro Borges in the name of its mission to protect competitors. The rag continues to burn...
