Las Rozas (suburb of Madrid) receives this week the penultimate test of World Padel Tour: the dress rehearsal before Menorca Final Master, which will be held between December 10 and 13.

Favorites and Aspirants

Among men, there are obviously real favorites: Juan Lebron and Ale Galán. They won 6 of the 9 tournaments of the season, and position themselves as the pair with the most possibilities to win the Cupra Las Rozas Open 2020.

The level of play of the two Spaniards impresses everyone on the circuit. They will be once again men to beat.“I want to continue playing competitively, and we hope we can win our seventh title of the season", declared Ale Galan in front of the town hall of Las Rozas, during the presentation of the tournament. Let's not forget that he plays at home.

Fernando Belasteguin (recovered from coronavirus) and Agustin Tapia are back, and could potentially face the No. 1 in the semi-finals.

On the other side of the picture, Sanyo and Stupa will once again want to reach the final, but could face Lima and Navarro in the semi-final. Two weeks ago, the opposition between these two pairs gave us a very intense match.

Among the women, we could well see a “final before the hour”, from the semi-finals. The two pairs leading the WPT Race 2020 and tournament favorites will likely face off on Saturday. It is Sainz / Triay et Salazar / Sanchez. The four Spaniards will have to pass the eighths and the quarters.

In the lower part of the table, the “Martas” enter their second tournament in this new stage together. The first one was very encouraging (with a loss in the final), and it wouldn't be surprising to see them again in the last four.

The Final Master in sight

This Las Rozas Open is the last opportunity to enter the Top 8, who will define the participants of the Menorca Final Master.

Le Cupra Las Rozas Open 2020 takes place in the "Ciudad del Fútbol de la RFEF ”, landmark of the Spanish football team, victorious yesterday over Germany by 6 goals to 0… A great way to celebrate this great performance!
