Padel market offers us, as always, a statistic of which it has the secret. And this time, she presents us with a very interesting graph which shows, since the beginning of the year, who is the most effective smash player.

The benchmark presented only includes players who have made at least 5 matches in 2024 from the main draw.

You will see that there are some surprises and analyzes to be done.

smash stat efficiency

The best smasher in the world is not Ale Galan.

For the moment, neither Galan, nor Coello, nor Tapia, nor Stupa, dominate the first place of the most effective player in the smash.

The player with the best efficiency/number of smashes ratio in the world is currently the 61st player in the world, Javier Barahona. The Spaniard averages 22 smashes per match for an efficiency rate of over 70%! Ale Galan is not far away, with around 19 smashes for a 70% success rate.

Obviously, this statistic must be put into perspective, because the more active a player is on the circuit, and the more matches he has under his belt, the more he must be able to repeat good performances. And clearly, Barahona does not have the same start to the season as Galan.

We notice that big hitters like Sager and Arroyo exceed 62% efficiency.

Baharona padel smatch

The red card at the start of the season is for Rubio.

On the other hand, we can award a few red cards, notably to Sanz, (Alex) Ruiz, and especially to Rubio, the only player to be below 50% success on smashes with an average of 14 per match. We therefore know in which areas these players will be able to work for the next matches.

The most efficient players

Javi Garcia achieves a remarkable performance with almost 75% success for 14 smashes padel on average per match. The comparison with Rubio shows quite a difference.

A player who smashes little but is the most effective in the world is Javier Rico, with almost 75% success on his 6 smashes per match, he is currently the most effective.
