“Our story dates back to 2021, when Besim Shulemaja (born in Kosovo and living in Sweden) and I decided to bring something new to our country. That's when we launched the PROJECT PADEL KOSOVA. Besim is now the president of the Federation of padel of Kosovo and I am the Secretary General.

In the space of a year, we have established the Federation of padel of Kosovo, we have helped to create nearly a dozen clubs of padel in the country, we have been accepted with full rights in the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, we have been accepted by the Ministry of Sports of our country and we have teamed up with the legend of Albanian football, Lorik Cana, to build the first center of padel with 3 tracks in our country. But this is just the start as we are looking to expand and build two more venues, one of which will be outdoors and the other will be special as we want to host tournaments there. "

A strong connection between Kosovo and Albania

“Our mobilization was very quick and we did an incredible job and we continue to do so. We also help Albania to develop and promote this sport and we help others as much as we can to promote this sport in the region and in the Balkans in general.

Our federation has organized two tournaments outside of Kosovo with the Albanian community in Sweden, and the next one will take place here in Pristina, Kosovo. "

Next objectives: to be accepted by the FIP and to develop schools of padel in Kosovo

“Our main objective is to be accepted as a new FIP member and then we want to produce new players from padel coming from us, and who will be able to participate in the best tournaments in the world.

The next plan is to create schools of padel here and we are already working on a program about it. The last thing we have implemented in Kosovo is to have incorporated the padel in schools and universities, to allow students to play or why not consider doing padel their profession.

At the moment, the Federation is looking to create its League and expand the padel in all cities of Kosovo. "
