« There is a part of tennis, but not so big that you can think »[1]. When we talk about padel, we can immediately think that this is intended mainly for tennis players, given that the practice of padel comes close.

This vision is not shared by all the people questioned in this survey, especially François who recounted these remarks just above. These were confirmed by Victor " No. This, we see it today, competition practitioners, so the best are actually people who are fired from tennis, but the vast majority of customers are people who are not from tennis. »[2]. This is related to the idea cited in the section The peculiarities of padel In which the interviewees were unanimous in saying that the practice is playful and simple, much simpler technically than tennis.

Ainsi, le padel reaches a very large audience " Le padel will address a lot of targets. That's all that makes its charm, is that we touch 7, 70 years old, the young, the not so young, the man, the woman, the children, we are going to touch, uh, individuals, companies »[3].

On the other hand, we have to differentiate between competitors and leisure players. Indeed, leisure players come from all walks of life, from various favorite sports, but players from padel in competition remain for the moment for the majority of the "original" tennis players. Indeed, like culture padel in France is still very recent, we have few "pure" players of padel. We can obviously see that in the French ranking, most of these players are players from tennis.

Pierre studied STAPS, and validated a master's degree in sports management, after studying in Reims, Frankfurt and Lille. I discovered the padel in 2014 during my Erasmus year in Frankfurt thanks to a Spanish friend. Damn it is good padel !
