The warm-up padel : Perhaps one of the most often forgotten points. However, warming up should be compulsory at padel before each start of the session. It is much more so in advanced level games or over the age of XNUMX. In order to prevent injuries, here are our tips.

The problem we face for a good warm-up is the weather. In tournaments, you are only allowed a few minutes and your opponents may not necessarily play the game of warming up properly. In your clubs, on one hour or one and a half hours slots, spending time warming up means taking the risk of not finishing the match on time. Let's discuss these two phases, the tournaments and the padel leisure.

Warming up in tournaments

Since you will likely be playing several games on the same day, it is important to start the first in good conditions. To do this, arrive well before the meeting time. Stretch your legs If you have made a long trip by walking, doing sideways and front to back movements, stretch your legs. Then raise your temperature by going back and forth, jogging, chasing, running backwards, zigzags… and don't forget your arms and pelvis. While doing these movements, rotate your arms together or one after the other, forward, backward. Carry out the actions that you will then carry out on the ground empty. Forehands, backhands, bandejas, volleys. Only 5 minutes are enough to achieve this warm-up.

If you have the opportunity, go with your partner on a field and warm up with him. You will send the balls easily and you will be able to "set the target". Pre-game warm-up with your opponents only serves to launch hostilities.

Recreational warming

Just think that this warm up will help you avoid injury. Simply 5 minutes before entering the field, make lateral movements, before back, heat your joints by making them work by rotations (shoulders, elbows, wrists), take small steps on the spot more quickly or take your jumping rope. Some basic stretching and you can go there, your body is aware of what it is going to have to realize as an effort.

Le padel is a grueling sport for the joints of the lower trunk. A poor warm-up and your first acceleration can turn into an injury. Take care of your body if you want to play padel still good years.
