Since 2014 and the integration of Padel in the French tennis federation, many tennis clubs have joined the Padel to their structures. Tennis clubs are now the number 1 vector in the development of Padel. The speech of the new director of the FFT goes in this direction: " 1000 lens short under my mandate ».

Le padel, a sport that makes it possible to diversify the sporting offer?

Other important players in the future development of Padel, multisport clubs. This sport represents a good diversification for these structures which often have space to insert a Padel.

Indoor football centers are also diversifying enormously via the Padel. The Soccerpark le Five chain is a real pioneer and a real promoter of Padel in France. The strategy is to diversify the activity of this type of structure here too.

Finally, structures 80-100% Padel have helped and are helping the development of this sport. It is also often pioneers, snowshoe lovers who embark on this crazy adventure and we must underline the wonderful work they have done to create the dynamic of the Padel that we are currently seeing.

Le padel does it only belong to tennis clubs?

However, in the future, in my opinion, only tennis clubs and multisports will be the real vectors of the development of the Padel. As can be seen from the 6 graphs below, the new clubs of Padel which are created are mostly within a tennis club or a multisport club. Some centers 100% Padel see and will see the light of day but they will not be the basis of the growth of Padel of tomorrow. For the centers of five-a-side football, I make the same conclusion. We will see new tracks being created within futsal brands but this will remain marginal in the overall development of the Padel.

When we list the number of facilities for the different racquet, multisport and futsal sports (table below) we easily realize that only tennis and multi-sport halls have enough facilities to transform to support the development of Padel. Futsal, for example, has only 260 structures! How could it tomorrow be the main vehicle for the development of Padel, when there are more than 7800 tennis clubs next to it looking to revive the dynamics of their structures.
