The Spanish Federation of Padel (FEP) has just announced that there will indeed be a ladies' and a men's team for the European Championships of padel from November 13 to 18 in Estoril.

This is very good news after the boycott of FEP at the 2015 European Championships in the Netherlands.

This time, Spain and Portugal play the European Championships. This has the consequence, even more among the French, that they will not be able to renew the feat of 2015 with the final victory. Spain will be European champion, ladies and gentlemen and no matter which players will be selected. The Spanish level is for the moment far too high for all the other nations present at these championships.

Where there is a feat to achieve in the ladies as in the men, it is this famous second place. It will be very difficult to take well with the host country, Portugal, which logically postulates for second place.

Patrick Fouquet, the French coach of the France team of padel ladies and gentlemen will certainly have an important role to play in the choices he will have to make before and during the race.
