The Cupra Padel Point Tour : a reference

“First, congratulations for the Cupra Padel Point Tour. There is a very good atmosphere, these are really top events.

Now we are going to rest a little after a busy first part of the season. Two weeks of vacation are planned, with total rest, to prepare well for the start of the school year.”

Get a wild-card for the Paris Major in September

“We hope with Jessica Ginier to be able to obtain a wild-card to join the Paris Major at Roland-Garros. This would be very good news for us. And then there is also the P2000 in Toulouse which will follow. The French Championships then and then I hope to be selected for the French team this year for the European Championships of padel around October. In short, a big program is coming.

The objective will be to win a match at Roland-Garros if we obtain the wild-card. For the French championships, clearly, it's to be able to reach the final. Last year we only finished third.”

His favorite move? The parallel smash!

“When I played on the left, I liked to try Par 3. It was a shot that I particularly liked. Since I've been on the right, I really like the parallel smash. With the little topspin that gets the ball out, it's even better!”

“My best prize money? €2, but I'm still waiting for them…”

“It was during the victory of the A1 Padel at Tennis Padel Sun with Jessica Ginier. We each won €2. It's a big prize money. Well, we still haven't received it despite our reminders. (laughs). So if the organization could answer us, that would be perfect!”

The street lamp !

“My coach François Authier often tells me “Put your legs on the ground”. It may seem surprising, but in fact, he calls me "the lamp post". It is true that sometimes I can rest on my achievements. It's a joke between François and me.”

Superstitious?

“I like to be in my bubble 10/15 minutes before a game. At tournaments, we are used to talking with everyone, and it does me good to put myself aside to concentrate before a match.

On the tense points, there is a necklace that I wear all the time. Otherwise, I am not superstitious.”

A single broken racket, no more!

“I once broke a racquet during a match. I couldn't manage my emotion well. In general, I am rather very calm. But there, I hit this racquet. THE padel it's still a passion, so breaking a racquet is a bit strange but it only happened to me once.”
