Momo Gonzalez et Alex Ruiz chain the good performances. The two players from Malaga feel better and better together, and will be very tough underdogs to beat in the final rounds of the tournaments.

A very solid pair

In an interview with men's health magazine Men's Health España, Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz open up about their on-court relationship.

Alex Ruiz: “We are two young players growing up, we are from Malaga, we have known each other since we were children. We are getting better and better together and I think we will do very well in the next tournaments, we have no cap and the expectations are good”.

The Andalusians lost on Saturday in Amsterdam in a very hot meeting against Bela/Coello. A new semi-final which represents a good result for this pair in form.

“I need to earn more points!”

Momo Gonzalez also talks about his admiration for the players he now faces:

“I used to watch Juan Martin Diaz, especially when I was a kid, and when I started competing I watched Fernando Belasteguin because he was always on top, despite being a veteran . When I faced him for the first time, it was incredible”.

Momo: “I'm a fairly confident player to play on the left. My weak point is that I don't earn enough points for a left player. I have to finish a lot more balls”, explains González.

The Andalusian has found in his compatriot Alex Ruiz a right-wing player capable of concluding a very large number of points, and this pair seems set to last!
