This noon was held the first women's semi-final of these World Championships padel 2022.

After having eliminated the French yesterday in the quarter-finals, the Belgians faced today the frightening Spaniards. Since the start of the competition, Spain has been wandering around and has not yet met a team that could have worried them. The challenge was daunting for our Belgian neighbors but unfortunately for them, the step was still too high.

Indeed the Iberians did not make it easy and won 2-0, thus qualifying for the final. During the first meeting, it was Veronica Virseda and Barbara Las Heras who allowed the “Roja” to get their first point. They beat 6/2 6/0 the pair Wyckaert / Boeykens. After this crushing defeat, the Belgian selection hoped to be able to do better in the second match. But, opposed to Marta Ortega and Béatriz Gonzalez, world n°3, the task did not look easy. In great shape since arriving in Dubai, the Madrid-Andalusian pair ensure and display a solid game that hits the mark every time. For this meeting, logic prevailed and it was with a score of 6/0 6/1 that Martita and Béa offered their team a ticket to the final.

Spain will join Argentina, who qualified against Italy 2-0.

As much to tell you that this Saturday, we will have the right to a clasico of the most boiling between the two nations which dominate the padel World.
