An unprecedented final took place this afternoon, at TSB Jarville, for the second men's P1500 of the season, with the outsiders there. Maxime Forcin et Dorian DeMeyer (TS4) met Matthew Armagnac et Morgan Mannarino (TS3).

A final like this couldn't have ended in two sets. Knowing the Armagnac/Mannarino pair, the experts in three-set matches, it wasn't even possible. This is indeed why this match lasted three sets and was ultimately won by Maxime Forcin and Dorian De Meyer : 7/6 2/6 6/4.

The first set of this meeting was very competitive. The two teams were neck and neck and neither seemed to want to win this first round. It also ended in a tie-break. The latter was finally won by the 4th seed, De Meyer/Forcin.

However, one should not sell the bear's skin before killing it. Morgan Mannarino and Matthieu Armagnac were far from giving up in this match and rebelled in the second set. The games took place on the scoreboard and the Mannarino/Armagnac pair led 5/0. There will still have been a break for Maxime and Dorian, who still lost this round 6/2.

In the third set, physicality was a crucial element. Both teams came out of grueling semi-finals, in three sets. The pair that seemed the most leggy was Forcin/De Meyer. Despite losing the second set, the two men did not lose motivation. After endless games on the Mannarino/Armagnac serve, we had to wait for 5/4 (and numerous missed break opportunities at 4/3) for Maxime Forcin and Dorian De Meyer to win this tournament.

After their victory at P1000 4PADEL La Rochelle last June, Maxime Forcin and Dorian De Meyer achieve their greatest victory together winning the P1500 at TSB Jarville.
