This is the question asked by all the clubs of padel French: The tournaments of padel approved, can they resume on June 22?

For the moment, the French Tennis Federation has not suggested that there is a possibility of resuming the events of padel approved from June 22. She has always maintained that the deconfinement would be done in stages. And given the resurgence of the virus in recent days in some French cities, and bad news from China, the FFT could stay on its course and remain cautious.

However, the signal sent by the government is not the same and we could find ourselves once again in a form of misunderstanding.

For tennis licensees, the resumption of competition is from June 22. Good news for the tennis ecosystem, which is looking forward to its resumption. Attention for the doubles, the competition is always prohibited. But it's not a big deal in tennis.

On the other hand, this mainly means that a priori, the padel, a sport played at 4 people will not be able to resume its competitions. We will still have to wait for the competitors. Several dates are given including July 11. But for the moment nothing official and above all: Nobody knows how the disease will develop. Caution is required and the President of the Republic reminded us of the greatest caution by forcing all athletes to maintain all health rules.

What is less understandable is precisely the behavior of the government. On the one hand, sportspeople whose players padel cannot resume their competitions and on the other hand, tennis singles events are allowed.

We refuse the regrouping of some players to participate in a tournament of padel and on the other hand we authorize the reopening of gaming rooms, casinos, shows… Yes, not always easy to understand.
