No surprise this Friday afternoon during the quarter-finals of the Premier Padel Madrid P1. All four seeds have impressed with straight-set wins each time.

We will be entitled this Saturday to dream semi-finals, with the four best pairs of the tournament who are at the rendezvous of the last four in the Spanish capital.

This Friday, there is not really any suspense with impressive victories each time. The longest match of the day was won in 1h25 by Gemma Triay and Marta Ortega against Claudia Jensen and Veronica Virseda: 6/3 6/1.

The other meetings were even more expeditious. Judge instead:

  • Josemaria/Sanchez beats Araujo/Castello 6/3 6/0 in 1h14
  • Brea/Gonzalez beats Osoro/Sainz 6/0 6/2 in 58 minutes
  • Alayeto/Alayeto beats Goenaga/Martinez 6/2 6/4 in 1h15

The good news is that these four pairs, who didn't spend too much time on the slopes today, are going to be in great shape tomorrow. We will, we hope, have a little tighter matches. Here is what awaits us:

  • Alayeto/Alayeto vs Josemaria/Sanchez
  • Brea/Gonzalez vs Ortega/Triay

Interviewed during the day by us, the Alayeto twins hope to make a move against the numbers 1. Can they achieve this?
