Mario Cordero had the opportunity to collect the first impressions of Philémon Raichman and Benjamin Grué following their 6/2 6/4 victory in the Round of XNUMX of the FIP Rise of Bordeaux. We will find them in the round of XNUMX this Saturday.

A controlled game

Philemon: “We feel very good after this victory. There was indeed a very small moment when we weren't in it, but otherwise we played well throughout the match, making few mistakes.

We were good in attack, patient most of the time and in defense too. We took the time we needed. We tried to take back the net at the right time and to keep our tactics which worked well."

Benjamin: "Our level of play is diametrically different when we have a tactic and we stick to it. It totally changes!

The pleasure of playing “at home”

Benjamin: “Before the match, we weren't too sure, compared to what we had done in Sweden where it was average.

But I tried to keep my routines. That is to say, warming up well, entering into aggressiveness at the mental level and above all keeping the game plan. We have endeavored to keep the game plan and that has helped us a lot, I think, to put on what was needed throughout the match.

I'm really happy to have had this level of play in front of all the people I train, in front of my friends and my family. "

Philemon vs Julien

Philemon did not have so much trouble in the end against his training partner Julien Seurin. They explain :

“It's a bit hard to play against Julien because we train so much together that now we're starting to know each other by heart, even mentally. We know each other so well that it is necessarily different.

But on the other hand, we are both competitors and we know that during a match, there is no longer this question of “buddy” or even of partner as it could have happened.

When we are in a match, we are in a match and we try to ignore that. “
