Javi Rico and Leo Augsburger will soon form a new pair for the 2023 season.

Our fellow Juego de Padel and Pade Alto confirmed it. The two partners will indeed meet at the end of the South American tour.

The best option

One of the main stakeholders, Augsburger said: “It's confirmed, I will play with Javi Rico. He was the best option“. A choice of the young Argentinian motivated by the experience that Rico could bring him as well as his stability in defense.

A remarkable journey

Since this final in Argentina at only 18 years old with Tino Libaak (17 years old) during the WPT Open La Rioja, nothing seems to stop the young prodigies. The two Argentinians have indeed made an impressive run by reaching the final of the tournament. However, it is the experience that has taken over since it is Coello and Tapia who won.

Libaak Augsburger La Rioja quarter win 2023

A brilliant path that has prompted some top players to show their interest in the two young Argentinians. For example, we were talking to you yesterday about the new pair formed by Lamperti and Libaak at the next WPT tournament in Reus.

And now ?

Leo Augsburger is currently playing the Chile Open with Mike Yanguas, replacing his partner Alex Arroyo who had to withdraw due to injury.

Jorge Ruiz Javi Rico nueva pareja 2023

Javi Rico started this season alongside Jorge Ruiz. However, the Spaniard was unable to participate in the last two tournaments due to a rib injury.

It's currently unclear who Ruiz's next partner will be.
