The coach of the France team padel feminine returns to the draw the day before the start of the competition.

Remember that France, seeded 4, inherited Brazil, Sweden, Paraguay and the United Arab Emirates. A not easy group, with in particular the nation which had finished at the gates of the semi-finals last year:

“It's a group which is not far from being the most difficult. We face Brazil who finished 5th last year, and who lost in the decisive match against Italy in the quarter-finals. We will be dealing with real players of padel, accustomed to playing outdoors and in high temperatures”, explains Robin.

Behind the Auriverde selection, the toughest opponent should be Sweden. Indeed, if the French had beaten the Swedes twice at the European Championship in Marbella, with in particular easy victories each time for the duos Collombon/Soubrie and Godallier/Vo, the cards could be reshuffled this year. Indeed, first Mai Vo is no longer part of the tricolor team, but above all a certain Carolina Navarro Björk, former world number 1, has joined the ranks of the Swedish selection. Although the 46-year-old obviously no longer has the level she was able to have in the past, she remains 25th in the WPT rankings and intends to bring all her experience to Sweden.

The world number 1 has joined the ranks of Sweden

tomorrow's game is therefore far from won, as the coach explains to us: “The team is reinforced by Carolina Navarro and has players who play very well. It is a strong nation padel worldwide, where this sport is booming. The Swedes, who have many former tennis players, will have a very aggressive style. ”

Behind, it looks easier against Paraguay and especially the United Arab Emirates: “Paraguay, who finished 10th last year, are a team within our reach. And it will normally be a more symbolic encounter against the United Arab Emirates, but we will have four games instead of three, it will also have to be taken into consideration... The objective is of course first place, but we are in a very complicated group!”

See you tomorrow from 16:00 p.m. in France to see the first confrontation of Les Bleues!
