The Portuguese Federation of Padel marks a decisive step for the development of padel in Portugal with the announcement of an ambitious project: the construction of the “Cidade do Padel" ("City of Padel”). This innovative complex, of unprecedented scale, aims not only to promote the sport, but also to firmly position it on the international map.

"Press release – Cidade do Padel
The contract for the construction and operation of the “Cidade do Padel” was signed today. Participating in the signing: Isaltino Morais, Mayor of Oeiras, António Martins da Cruz, president of the Oeiras Valley Investment Agency, and representatives of Smooth Odissey Lda, a company owned by Filipe de Botton and Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as the leaders of the Portuguese Federation of Padel.
This project, with an investment exceeding five million euros, aims to create the main infrastructure dedicated to padel in Portugal. The completion of the complex is scheduled for the first half of 2025. It will house the headquarters of the Portuguese Padel Federation. Padel, offering facilities for the training and development of padel, and for hosting international tournaments.
The “Cidade do Padel" will include 17 padel courts, 11 of which are covered, a 2000-seat central court, a 500-seat "centralito", as well as other facilities such as a restaurant and a gym.
The Portuguese Federation of Padel thanks the Municipality of Oeiras for its support of the project and its partners, Filipe de Botton and Cristiano Ronaldo, for their involvement.
The architectural file is currently submitted to the Municipality of Oeiras for approval.”
