A1's big tour Padel in North, South and Central America is about to begin. On the program: 30 days of competition with 4 tournaments in 4 different countries. In total, $410 in prize money will be distributed!
Departure to Asunción
The capital of Paraguay is one of the fixed stops on the A1 calendar Padel. For the third consecutive year, La Quinta Sports Club will host the tournament from September 25 to October 1. Paraguay is a country where padel is very popular, so a great atmosphere is expected in the stands.
The number 1 players, Franco Dal Bianco and Maxi Arce, will try to retain the title won in 2022 against Pablo Barrera and Andres Britos. We will also follow the local players, Santi Castañeyra and Martin Abud, who will be the darlings of the Paraguayan public.
A first in Panama
Panama will host the circuit for the first time in its history. The Adidas Asunción Open will be held from October 2 to 8 at the Arena Roberto Durán, a huge pavilion that can accommodate 12 spectators.
Players will have to quickly adapt to indoor conditions, unlike the Paraguay tournament which takes place outdoors. Tito Allemandi, one of the main promoters of this tournament, and his partner Tolito Aguirre, will be looking for their first title of the season (if they have not already won it in Asunción).
A1 Padel arrives in New York
We already talked, A1 Padel arrives in the United States, in New York. The city that never sleeps will host a professional padel tournament for the first time. This week dedicated to padel will take place at Wollman Rink, located in the emblematic Central Park.
This tournament, scheduled for October 9 to 15, is of paramount importance for players, as it is the first Grand Master of the season. It will offer 2000 points to the winners and $140 in prize money!
Back to basics
Mexico City will host the fourth stop of this tour. For the circuit, it is always special to return to Mexico, where the first two tournaments in the history of the APT Padel Tour were played in Acapulco and Mérida in 2020. This first A1 tournament Padel in the capital of the country where padel was invented will take place from October 16 to 22 at the Lomas Sporting Club.
After this series of four consecutive events, A1 Padel will take a break for a week. It will be the time to recharge the batteries in view of the last two tournaments of the season: the Miami Master and the Bahrain Grand Master, where the teams qualified for the Master Final will be defined.
