My paintings Padel Country Club Tour Padel fell on Setteo. For both men and women, the tournament promises to be impressive with, in particular, for the women the Casanova / Clergue pair reformed for this tournament. She will be the tournament favorite, unless there is a Sorel / Martin feat.

Among the men, we will have the French champions of padel in title, Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron 2017 and the French champions of padel 2016 Robin Haziza / Jérémy Scatena. The two favorite pairs in the table are in the same part of the table and could therefore end up in the semi-finals!

The gentlemen table is controversial

This is explained by the ranking of French players (Maxime Moreau, Jérémy Scatena and Robin Haziza) living in Barcelona today… But could we really do nothing to avoid this possible confrontation from the semi-finals? A derogation by the French Tennis Federation to avoid this scenario by proposing a possible protected classification?

We thus find ourselves with the 5 members of the French team of padel and a former (Mathieu Lapouge) in the same part of the painting (Lower part):

  • Scatena / Haziza
  • Moreau / Lapouge
  • Blanqué / Bergeron

And not only one member of the France team in the upper part. For a tournament of this quality, some players believe that “this is not normal and solutions must be found when there is such an imbalance".

The consequence of this table in addition, is that we will have in the upper part, one or even pair pairs considered as weaker which will necessarily obtain more points than pairs in the bottom of the table. In any case, the regulations should evolve.

Explain some interested.

The top table remains however raised with in particular the Boulade / Le Panse, Corbelli / Pequery, Leygue / Lopes and Gauthier / Authier pair, but it is true that this part of the table seems weaker than the lower part. Now it's also up to the players to make tournaments padel to obtain a better ranking or / and to the FFT to set up a protected or adaptable ranking system for our French who play in Spain…
