As a preamble to a paratennis competition in Blois, the 1st edition of the wheelchair padel tournament took place on the courts of Loire Valley Padel.

Organized by the Ligue Center Val de Loire and by CD 41, this competition brought together six pairs who competed for the trophy by playing 3 to 4 matches each. A P100 acclaimed by several French top 10!

In the final, the two seeded teams, made up of 4 players ranked in the French top 10, faced each other in a very close match, ending with the smallest of gaps (10/8 in the super tie-break).

Kevin Piette, associated to Sébastien Husser-Walther, won this first Blésois title by beating Laurent Giammartini et François Heyraud. Final score: 6/2 4/6 10/8.

The continuation of the wheelchair padel circuit is planned for May, to prepare for the First French Wheelchair Padel Championships !

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
