A good carpet of padel must already meet the requirements of the French Tennis Federation.

The surface generally used in competition is sanded or semi-sanded synthetic turf.
The official colors are green, blue and ocher (clay). Exemptions may be requested for existing fields and according to the category of the tournament.
The realization of the flooring will meet the normative references of the tennis floors:
  • NF EN 15330-1 for synthetic turf,
  • NF EN 14877 for other tennis floors.
The French Tennis Federation recommends that companies that win the market or that build the tennis court PADEL have to :
  • Either be referenced PQT® or qualified Qualisport for the designated surface,
  • Either guarantee that the subcontractor who will be in charge of the sports floor will be referenced PQT® or qualified Qualisport.
