What a first day during this world of padel 2018 in Paraguay for the French ladies and gentlemen team.

Good news: All the French pairs won their first round relatively easily in these world championships of padel in pairs this morning. This morning, the French showed that they were not a gift for anyone and that they were certainly under-side given the level of certain foreign pairs.

Tomorrow will be another day, and there may be a few French pairs in the table, unless we are able to beat the best players in the world? Unfortunately, that will not be the case at the moment.

In the team world, there again, the ladies showed the example to the men in the early afternoon in the Uruguayan team 3 / 0. We especially remember this stressful match of Laura Clergue and Lea Godallier. A match that will not remain in the annals for the proposed level of 4 players bothered by a light that makes it difficult to see well on the ground; a tense match that our French managed to bend in 2 sets, which was not so simple.

In the men, Paraguay could do nothing against the tricolor armada. In match 1 and 2, not once France trembled. She was clearly better. In the first match Blanqué / Bergeron attacks while limiting the faults. Paraguayans are caught in the throat and can only see the obvious difference in level.

Tison / Maigret follows and offers a relatively convincing performance for a first match in a world, even if it will have to be more consistent against a better armed pair.

The surprise will come from Haziza / Scatena who delivers "a non match". it can happen and fortunately for us, it realizes this match to forget immediately, during a confrontation which counts for butter since France already led 2 / 0. Jeremy Scatena is not totally out of his game. This match without a stake in front of a pair very widely in his ropes may have demobilized bringing in his fall Robin Haziza.

This defeat enough stupid it must be said, must serve as a lesson for the next events. Because yes, it is a priori on the right track to finish 2e of his group. But we will have to do the job against the Swedes. And it's not done especially when we see this last match of the team France.

This morning, we will start with Open Pair. Then this afternoon, the World Team will continue.
