The 2018 season has barely ended when several avenues have been explored regarding the preparation of the calendar of the World Padel Tour 2019.

Indeed, one of the novelties is that Valladolid will move from the Open category to Masters next year.

An agreement was reached between the City Council, the World Padel Tour and Madison

Oscar Puente, mayor of the city, Luis Torres, national director of the expansion of World Padel Tour, and Luis Garcia, director of Madison, were in attendance.

The meeting allowed Valladolid, after 12 years, to pass for the first time to the rank of Masters. In addition, Valladolid has committed to host this tournament category for the next four years.

Thanks to this progress, Valladolid is at the same level as other big cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Buenos Aires or Lisbon.

Date of Valladolid Masters 2019

The first Masters of Valladolid will take place in June, more precisely from 15 to 23 June 2019.

Another big novelty will be the incorporation of a new field in the Acera de Recoletos with a capacity of 500 places. In this field, the men's and women's games in the preliminary rounds will be organized.

Finally, it was also indicated that the central field will still be in the Plaza Mayor, but the first matches will be advanced by one day.
