Is Venus Williams about to switch into the padel ?

According to coach Rick Macci, the 23-time Grand Chelem, including 7 titles won in singles (5 Wimbledon and 2 US Open), could well retire from tennis at the US Open 2023 by playing doubles with her sister, Serena. Nothing official, but the coach believes in it:

"I don't know. I just trust my instincts. But obviously if she still plays...believe it or not, I think they could still win tournaments.”

The pattern could thus be repeated according to him, since Serena Williams had retired in this way, after the US Open 2022 that the two sisters had played together.

Once the tennis is over, it would not be totally impossible for the champion to fall back on the padel.
