After attending the crowning of the Josemaria – Sanchez pair among the ladies, we were waiting for the entry into the running of the gentlemen in Malaga.

The poster of the day for this final was completely new.

Indeed we had on one side the winners of the last tournament of the World Padel Tour who was arguing in Valencia a few days ago (Sanyo and Tapia) and on the other a pair that is more and more talked about at the moment, Pablo Lima – Franco Stupaczuk.

It was in two sets and almost two hours of play that the Argentinians managed to clinch a fifth title this season. After Reus, Copenhagen, Vienna and Valencia, it was in Malaga that the two friends shone in front of a packed Sports Palace.

Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia

Very fit for a few months, Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia feast in the 20×10 to the delight of aficionados. This is their second consecutive crown on the circuit and they hope to continue like this. For several tournaments we can see that the “Mozart de Catamarca” is unleashed on the track. As for his compatriot “El Mago de San Luis”, what can I say except that he is incredible. He ensures the show and gives the young prodigy the benefit of all his experience. The duo seems to have found the right balance.

At this level, the Argentinians have all the cards in hand to shake up the rankings this year and cast doubt on the number 1s who, despite their good results, are not immune to seeing a reversal of the situation take place by the end of season.

Final score against Pablo Lima and Franco Stupazcuk: 7/6 – 6/4.

And do you think Sanyo and Tapia can reach the top step of the podium?
