Great performance from Léa Godallier and Ariadna Cañellas who won in the round of the WPT Challenger in Marbella against Paz (43) / Villalba (21).

Opposed to the number 7 seed in the tournament, the French and the Spanish had a very solid match to win in straight sets.

After a tense start to the match during which they lost 3 “puntos de oro” to be led 4/1, Léa and Ari then moved up a gear, to win 5 games in a row and take the first set 6/4.

The second set started off very hooked, with many games contested in “punto de oro”. The Franco-Spanish pair were solid and managed to break at the best time, at 4/4. A service game later, they won their match with a 6/4 double.

A big performance for Cañellas and Godallier who are gaining momentum after their victory yesterday against Bellver / Jensen !

Tomorrow, they will face the seeded number 4, Talavan / Rufo, at 09:30 am!
