Despite a secure first place in the world since the Amsterdam tournament, Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez ne down not on a diet. The world number ones won in two sets against Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno, following Lucia's retirement. They are the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Menorca Open.

The world number ones started the game remarkably well. In a first set controlled from start to finish, Ariana and Paula obtained four break points, converting two. Facing the Sainz/Llaguno pair who did not obtain any break points, Ari and Paula won 6/3.

At the start of the second set, Lucia Sainz seems to be suffering. After calling the physiotherapist and taking advantage of the five minutes of authorized treatment, she resumes the game. Back on the field, Patty Llaguno and Lucia Sainz display high-level play. However, during the next service game, Lucia struggled to use her legs and ended up forfeiting.

Josemaria and Sanchez will try to reach another final in their next meeting. They will face the winners of the match between Salazar/Araujo and Osoro/Castello.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
