The last semi-final of the day at WPT Santander Open saw Sanyo Gutierrez/Agustin Tapia and Paquito Navarro/Martin Di Nenno face off.

Suffice to say that we attended a real recital from the Spanish-Argentinian shock duo. In just 1h06 the two players took the victory thus qualifying for a final final together.

Sanyo and Agustin undermined

From the start of the first round, the Argentinians were dominated by their rivals who immediately managed to display a solid game and impose their rhythm. Undermined, Sanyo and Agustin were unable to get into their match and found themselves trailing 4/0 before the half hour mark… The numbers 2 seemed to wake up at the end of the set but too late. On their way, the two future ex-teammates left with the first set: 6/1.

Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno

Paquito and Martin relentless

The second round started like the first with a flamboyant Paquito and a Martin Di Nenno who missed almost nothing.
The Hispano-Argentinian pair showed incredible play. Opposite, Sanyo and Tapia had very few opportunities. Unfortunately for them, they failed to win a single decisive point and let their opponents fly away on the scoreboard.

Like the day before against Lima and Stupa, Paquito and Martin win 6/1 – 6/1 and offer themselves a final for their last match together. Can they end on a title?

Whatever happens it looks very hot because the two players will meet the Bela – Coello pair, who renewed the feat of releasing the numbers 1 a little earlier in the day and which remains on 13 consecutive victories!
