The top seeds got the job done this Thursday in the quarter-finals of the World Padel Tour Vigo Open, with all the same some difficulties for the gentlemen.

The numbers 1 in the Race drop a set!

Still unbeaten on the World Padel Tour this season, Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello started badly against Bergamini / Ruiz. But after losing the first set, the numbers 1 in the Race let go and we will obviously find them at the meeting of the quarters tomorrow. Final score: 4/6 6/1 6/2. They will find Tello and Ruiz this Friday in a clash between sluggers!

The number 1s in the general classification will also be there. After a great first set, Lebron and Galan suffered a little more in the second round against Cardona / Ramirez, but they still manage in two sets: 6/1 7/6. They will be opposed in the quarter to Garrido and Sanz, who took advantage of the Pablo Lima package in order to relax.

Like Coello and Tapia, the Gonzalez/Gutiérrez and Chingotto/Navarro pairs, who will meet again tomorrow, have also suffered. The first made a “remontada” against the boiling Alonso and Esbri (4/6 6/3 6/1). The second had all the difficulty in the world to get out of the embrace of Campagnolo / Sanchez: 6/3 6/7 6/4.

Finally, the last quarter opposes Di Nenno / Stupaczuk to Belasteguin / Yanguas, two pairs that did the job respectively against Barahona / Garcia (6/2 6/2) and Diestro / Fernandez (6/4 6/3).

Among the girls, the fight for the first place is raging

On the women's side, there have only been two-set matches, and as you can imagine, the first two pairs continue their clear rounds. Sanchez and Josemaria crushed Guinart / Navarro (6/0 6/2) and they will face the Alayeto in the quarter.

For their part, Triay and Salazar also did the job against Godallier / Orsi with a 6/2 6/4 success. They will find this Friday Jessica Castello and Jessica Jensen, who took their revenge against Bidahorria / Fernandez (6/2 6/2).

The other two quarters look very interesting. We will have Brea/Gonzalez vs Sainz/Osoro and Ortega/Araujo vs Riera/Icardo.
