The first round of A1 Buenos Aires Master ended last night with great encounters, but no surprises.

Indeed, the first eight seeds of the table are passed. The favorites Arce/Dal Bianco (6/0 – 6/4 on Blanco/Rodriguez), Aguirre/Allemandi (6/2 – 6/4 against Alvès/Santellan) or even De Pascual/Alfonso (6/4 – 6/1 against Rolla / Lopez) were intractable.

The sensation of the day almost came from Alejandro Urzola and Javier Perez Morillas. The Spaniards gave Santiago Frugoni and Yain Melgratti (TS7) a hard time by winning the first set tie-break. The Argentinians had to work hard to win in three sets (6/7 – 6/4 – 6/4) and qualify for the second round.

In the other part of the table, Maximiliano Sanchez and Andres Britos (TS5) were ruthless against the North American qualifiers Francisco Agustin and Gustavo Ariel (6/0 – 6/1). If all the pairs from the previas were knocked out in the first round, we can highlight the good performance of Omar Ortiz and Octavio Alvarez against Parra / Andrada (2/6 – 6/4 – 6/4).
