The SOFEP fund, managed by MCH Private Equity has decided to invest in “All for Padel” in order to boost the international expansion of the group. This entity, which was created in 2018, aims to accompany and support Spanish companies to develop internationally.

As a reminder, the All for brand Padel (AFP) is Adidas' license for racket sports, including of course the padel. It was created in 2010 and has created a solid brand image that allows it to now be one of the market leaders.

A promising partnership

The rise of the industry padel in recent years has enabled the company to expand to the four corners of the globe.

In fact, throughout its evolution, All For Padel has managed to establish itself in no less than 40 countries.

On November 18, Spain Oman Private Equity Fund (“SOPEF”) officially announced its entry as a minority investor in AFP. This operation aims to consolidate the development of the firm but also to accelerate its international expansion by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by this more than buoyant market. Consequently, this new partnership can be a real boon for Adidas, which is seeking significant financial support in order to implement its new strategic plans.

“Consolidate our status as market leader”

As we told you a little earlier, All For Padel is present in 40 countries and works hand in hand with clubs, associations and international federations. Its main objective is to grow the discipline throughout the world. In addition, the firm wishes to present projects with high added value such as the manufacture of equipment but also the installation of tracks as well as the training of future coaches via the All For Padel Academy. In 2021, AFP recorded a turnover of around 30 million euros. Ambitious and confident, the latter would aim for a 70% increase for the current year.

According to José Luis Sicre, co-founder and CEO of All For Padel “The entry of SOFEP into the capital of the company supposes that we could benefit from better means to structure ourselves and strengthen the projects that we have in the pipeline. Moreover, they all have in common to make the padel internationally and consolidate our status as a market leader.”

Luis Parras, a partner at SOPEF, also spoke about this new alliance.

“AFP represents a great opportunity for us as we seek to develop our presence internationally. In addition, many key elements made us decide to invest in this company. Indeed Adidas is a powerful brand with a very good positioning on the padel and above all a great professionalism on the part of its management teams in recent years.”
