Gilles Fiolet analyzed the proportion of new licensed players padel in 2019 since the start of the year for women and men.

You will see that the illustration is quite explicit.

In the ladies we had less than a hundred new players when we register for the same period (January - July 2019) near 1000 new licensees.

In other words, on all the new licensees padel in 2019, 87,7% are men compared to 12,3% women.

Obviously, the numbers are not there to denounce, but to possibly see what works and what eventually malfunctions.

Obviously, it is difficult in France to develop the padel female on the licensee side. Because we must not forget that in France, the players that we see in clubs are rarely made redundant. Even among the gentlemen elsewhere.

If we do not have precise figures on the total number of players from padel, we can estimate that the players are less competitive than the men. The clubs are successful in creating new players every month. But the ladies will not necessarily follow up on approved tournaments.

Ladies are however often present on internal tournaments or club events. These explanations are intended to moderate these rather brutal figures.

Here is also an evolution of the number of licensed ladies and gentlemen. Forgive us for the month of April. But this strangeness is linked to the difficulties that there were over this same period in the classification of padel FFT.
