This weekend took place the regional women's championship P500 of the Côte d'Azur league in Padel Riviera Mougins, regional qualifying phase for the French championships of Padel.

10 female pairs were present to win the 2 qualifying places including 2 favorite pairs, Sandy Godard and Géraldine Sorel pair 3 French No. 1 seed and No. 2 Kristina Clément (No. 15) with Virginie Pironneau (No. 7).

The quarter-finals and semi-finals were easily won by these 2 favorite teams who, logically, found themselves in the final.

During the final, Kristina Clément and Virginie Pironneau stand out in the 1er set up leading 5 / 2 then have to face Godard / Sorel's comeback and save several balls of 5 everywhere to finally win 6 / 4.

The scenario is repeated in the 2eme set where Clément / Pironneau takes the advantage 5 / 3 and finally closes the second set on the score of 6 / 4.

The title of Champion League French Riviera is therefore back to the Clément / Pironneau pair on the final score of 6 / 4 6 / 4. The Godard / Sorel pair is also qualified for the inter-regional phases that will take place on 8 / 10 next September.

To note :

-the beautiful 3e place for Mélissa Martin and Aurélia Pucciarini, excellent tennis players who recently started the padel and won the super tie-break of 3e set the experienced pair Cathy Bensadoun and Mélanie Pierre.

-the good return of the player Kristina Clément who had moved away from the French tournaments for almost 2 years, exiled in England, and is back in force by chaining the good results with its partners Virginie Pironneau and Alexia Dechaume-Balleret.
