Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, the big favorites in Acapulco, dominated Ale Galan and Juan Lebron in the Mexico P1 final Premier Padel, leaving them no chance of winning. Inside the Arena that evening, there seemed to be room for only one pair, the one that occupies first place in the world: 6/0 6/4.

This crushing defeat of the Spaniards, in less than an hour, with a lunar and clear first set (6/0), is not attributable to the talent of the Argentinians, but rather to an unexpectedly weak performance from Galan and Lebron. Coello and Tapia dominated on all levels, notably with a stat which sums up the first set: 24 points to 7.

The match, announced as potentially spectacular, turned out to be a disappointment for fans, who were hoping to see a great duel for this latest association between LeBron and Galan.

In the second set, Lebron and Galan improved their game somewhat, but it was not enough, especially on the return games. The Argentine pair were never really worried and didn't even have to save a break point, winning the final in just 53 minutes.

Disappointment and frustration were visible in Lebron and Galan's eyes. Lebron's forced smiles could not mask the bitterness of this defeat, and Galan's tense expression let something else shine through... a physical annoyance specific to Mexico?

For them, a new chapter begins now: Galan will team up with Chingotto and Lebron with Paco, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new adventure in their respective careers.
