This is one of the most frustrating cases when we play padel. The “nevera” or “fridge” is the situation where the opponents play most of the balls at your partner, causing you to hit very few balls throughout the game. Usually this case affects the stronger of the two. Here are some tips for getting out of it.

It is a difficult situation to manage. For the player who receives all the balls, it's interesting. You are holding the match. In general your level increases since you are comfortable on the field because you know that you will have to hit the next ball. Disadvantage: fatigue.

For the cooler, the worry is to stay active while you touch very few balls. Here are a few tips.

  • Analyze the game. If you win a lot, you do not hit a lot of balls, and your partner is physically well, no problem. Accompany your partner. Be proud of him and his game. Even if you have not been the main player in this game, you may be in a future match, and you will need your partner's support. You are a team in both good and bad times.
  • Talk and decide on the game tactics. Maybe your partner did not pay attention that you were in the fridge. Try to find a tactic so that you can play more balls. With both of you you will have to set up a game to change the turn of the match.
  •  Show that you are a team and stay focused. Advertise where your opponents are placed to make the game clearer for your partner.
  • Do not lose your calm. Although you only hit one ball in ten, do not play it while trying to win the point for sure, even in the wrong position.
  • Stay active and positive. Activate your legs to take more space in the field and unload your partner. Show that you are still connected to the game, no gesture of anxiety, disinterest or "fed up" that will motivate your opponents a little more.
  • Tactically, one of the solutions: Tell your partner to play more parallel to break the diagonal to change the direction of the game.
  • The other solution is to tell your partner to stay in the net as much as possible. Thus, he will be able to surprise and even take stock. The other element: On the lobs, try to play the ball by making a few vibora ou Bandeja....
  • Play as your opponents: Target a player. Most often, it will be the player at the parallel of your partner. In this way, you will have the opportunity to recover balls.
  • Do not get upset and always try to break the game tactics of your opponents.

Good luck
