What a final at the first B14 Open Padel Challenge! It must be said that for a P250, the field was particularly high with in particular the French n ° 5, Adrien Maigret, Mathieu Lapouge French n ° 24 and former member of the French team of padel and Dimitri Huet, French n ° 34, one of the top players in the Île-de-France region.

In the final, we logically found the two favorite pairs of the tournament: Cyril Conty / Mathieu Lapouge against Philippe Cordin / Adrien Maigret.

That it was hard for Conty / Lapouge!

On paper, we thought the Conty / Lapouge pair was stronger and more homogeneous. However, we had the right once again to the Cordin Show after his great adventure a few weeks ago at the Open Padel Club alongside Yann Auradou.

It's the end for the man of the tournament: Philippe Cordin

But the player who has made an incredible performance is the indomitable Adrien Maigret. He delivered during 2 days bluffing benefits occupying the 3 / 4 field. Extremely regular despite repeated risk taking and very aggressive despite the cover of the field, Adrien Maigret was everywhere.

In the first set, the Maigret / Cordin pair is launched. She arrives in this final with a confidence capital inflated block with its benefits in 1 / 4 and 1 / 2. The Conty / Lapouge pair is surprised and loses the 1er set 6 / 4.

Cordin / Maigret finishes "cramée"

In the second set, there is not much battery left in Philippe Cordin. We feel that this is the ultimate set for the Maigret / Cordin pair. She will put everything in the battle. But in front of her, there is a very serious pair, which will put even more physics in this match. We have the right to incredible points on both sides.

But the pair Conty / Lapouge managed to return to a set everywhere, synonymous with victory since behind Philippe Cordin is stalled in the game, tired of this huge

weekend where he will have given a lot. While Adrien Maigret will end up in the hands of the osteopath of the competition.

Final victory for Conty / Lapouge 4 / 6 6 / 4 6 / 1. A beautiful victory, but it will have been very hot!

A very good organization of the B14 tournament Padel Challenge led by the great Thomas Schmitz.
