Dorian de Meyer and Thomas Vanbauce win the superb P1000 by SFR organized at the Hangar Padel Reunion Island. The final was perfectly mastered by the Bordeaux pair against Baptiste Moura and Simon Wagner, with a 6/4 6/4 victory and no set lost during the tournament.

Thomas Vanbauce looks back on this big weekend:

“Simon Wagner and Baptiste Moura were totally roasted. They played a very physically demanding semi-final. They got through it, but during the final, we saw that their legs were struggling to respond well. For our part, we managed our matches well, winning them all in 2 sets. In this final, we managed to make the break at the right time every time.

It was really huge, with almost 200 people watching us. The atmosphere was superb. It was a great first experience for Dorian and me. We hope it won't be the last.

Winning this P1000 with Dorian feels really good, as it's been a while since our last win together. In fact, it has been 2 years since we won a P1000. Additionally, Dorian then had hip surgery and then we competed in FIP.

Our upcoming program includes the P1500 to 4PADEL Bordeaux, followed by the FIP Tour in Sweden and Lithuania. So, 3 weeks of intensive tournaments.”
