Sporting Regulations for the European Club Cup Padel 2020 which will take place at Club Leon Club Deportivo in Malaga from October 15 to 18.

Three themes are discussed concerning the competition (sporting part only):

  4. The players: 1 ladies team and 1 men team and constitution of 1 Mixed team

1.1 Level of players

Only men whose ranking in the World Padel Tour is less than or equal in level at 70 and for women, the maximum ranking retained is 50.

1.2 Change of club

A player who has represented a club for the European Cup in 2019 may compete for another club in 2020 only with the written agreement of the Club whose colors he no longer wishes to defend.

This letter will be sent to the AECP at least two weeks before the start of the 2020 competition.

Each club may present up to 3 players of different nationalities.

1.3 Composition of the teams

The composition of the mixed doubles of each team can be modified by the captain from one meeting to the next.

  1. Format of the competition

The 24 teams will be divided into 8 pools of 3 teams ***

2.1 Constitution of the heads of series:

The following criteria have been retained: 1) winners 2) finalists 3) semi-finalists from previous editions of the European Cup (with increasing precedence) 4) Clubs affiliated to AECP.

2.2 Meetings

Group stage:

Each team will play 2 games against teams from the same group

At the end of these meetings, the 3 teams will be ranked from 1 to 3

Draw to designate the team which will serve first.

Final phase :

The 8 clubs that finished first will find themselves in a final table. Each meeting will be by direct elimination. Classification matches will be played in order to classify all the clubs from position 1 to 8. This same pattern will be repeated for the teams having finished second and third in the group stage. So all the teams will play 5 games between Friday and Sunday

2.3 Progress of matches

The matches will be played in 2 winning sets with, if necessary, an 11-point super tie-break (1 point difference) in the 3rd set.
