On February 4 and 5, Padel Lyon Club (Padel Central) offered a great men's event (P500) won by the Franco-Spanish pair: Justin Lopes and Airtor Garcia.

This P500 could be considered in more than one way as a P1000 as the general level was high and the overall organization perfect.

Justin Lopes (French top 10) and Aitor garcia (No. 127 of the World Padel Tour) managed a very good tournament by succeeding in beating the surprising Parisians Benjamin Tison and Frédéric Pommier in the final in 2 sets 6/1 7/6.

The match we will remember is the beautiful victory in 3 sets of Gaël Monfils and Robin Haziza (French Champion 2015 and 2016) in the quarter-final against players in the French top 10: Maxime Moreau and Laurent Boulade. Their road stops in the semi-final against the future winners of the tournament.

« Le padel is a physical sport especially when you have several matches ” Gaël Monfils will comment. Robin Haziza, his partner will explain that the padel is far from being a long quiet river " thus undermining some conventional wisdom ».

The 4 and 5 march, it will be the turn of the ladies to highlight with a tournament P1000 100% female.
