There are now countless former professional athletes who have decided to keep fit through padel.

Indeed after Francesco Totti, Iker casillas, Tony Parker or even more recently Sylvain Wiltord as well as the shock pair Benoît Cheyrou – Christophe Jallet it's the turn of the ex-international of "Roja"  Fernando Llorente  to swap his crampons for a pala.

At 37, the former Juventus and Spanish national football team striker has decided to end his professional career after 18 years of loyal service. Like many of his former colleagues, the Pamplona native is passionate about padel. We have been able to see him on numerous occasions in the 20×10.

Fernando Llorente

Asked about the possibility of continuing to play football as a hobby, Fernando Llorente replied: “No, I prefer to stay in shape by playing padel.. "

The Spaniard thus joins this merry band of former footballers who, rather than treading the grass, prefer to have fun with the little yellow ball.
