Le FFT Padel Tour of Lyon will certainly be one of the greatest tournaments of padel French of the year. In any case, the test is already the most severe ever observed so far.

This second stage of FFT Padel Tour promises to be explosive: All the best French players are present. Not only is Lyon full of very good players, but it is also a central place between the north and the south. All the players of the camp padel of the French team remain to participate in the event. Imagine the main draw!

See you from tomorrow until May 12 at Esprit Padel for this second stage of FFT Padel Tour.

In the ladies, it will hurt!

Before talking about the main players who had missed during the first stage, we will inevitably deplore the absence of Mai Vo and Amélie Feaugas. Mai Vo, suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury (total rupture). It will therefore be kept away from the field for several months before hoping to return for the French Championships of padel. It is the big absent from the ladies' event.

But this time, we will not have the right to say that some are absent! The double French champions of padel who are so rare on the French circuit, Alix Collombon and Jessica Ginier, will indeed be present and will therefore participate in their first stage of the FFT Padel Tour. Same for Laura Clergue who will be associated with the former partner of Line Meites during the Valenciennes event, Fiona Ligi.

We will of course have the winners of the first event of the FFT Padel Tour from Valenciennes, Léa Godallier and Mélissa Martin. An increasingly Spanish adventure for the latter and we want to see if their escapade abroad is felt on the ground.

Watch out for Marianne Vandaele and Charlotte Soubrié, a pair that we don't talk much about but who are never far from the podium, proof with their recent 4th place in the FFT Padel Padel the 4PADEL Valenciennes.

Carl-ann Lovera and Audrey Casanova are to watch too. They must do much better than their previous games. Kristina Clément and Alexia Dechaume are 2 great competitors, we know they can always hurt in a table. We will also pay attention to the Sorel / Sandu pair.

Among the men: A plateau never seen before

To be part of the event directly (in the pools), it was necessary to have less than 372 points… This shows the level of the cut to enter this tournament. We have never seen that in a race padel gentlemen.

All the best French players will be present. We will even see Robin Haziza, finally in France to participate in this event of FFT Padel Tour Lyons. He will be associated with Johan Romanowksi. This will be the 4th seed. A Johan who will therefore not be in Lyon with his famous left-handed partner: Eric Quillet. We are delighted to finally see Robin again…

The other small half-surprise is the re-association between Julien Maigret and Yann Auradou. An association that worked well last year. But who had evolved early in the season since we saw Yann associated with Parisian Dimitri Auradou. The latter will be associated with Jean Yves Levrat, a totally different profile and that will therefore require Dimitri to go left. But we know, Dimitri is able to play both sides without problem.

On the Spanish and Argentine side, of course, we are very happy to have the most French of Argentines, Gaby Reca, to push back the French circuit. The former world number 1, several times world champions, will be associated with Laurent Bensadoun. The eternal question, who will play on the left? Gaby Reca, a right-wing player who risks being put in the “fridge”… We could therefore see him change sides at times, especially against the best pairs as he has already done before.

And then we have the “brothers”, well known in France, the De Benito brothers. Players who have trod the World Padel Tour like our top French players. They are as always very dangerous.

We will end with the eternal confrontation between the two best French pairs: Adrien Maigret / Benjamin Tison and Bastien Blanqué / Johan Bergeron. During the first stage, the French champions of padel in title Bergeron / Blanqué had their rank respected. Since the pair Tison / Maigret has been working hard to take their revenge and their Spanish adventure has only just begun.

You noticed, we're gonna have a huge weekend of padel with the elite of padel French and much more. Come in large numbers to Esprit Padel !
