The 6ᵉ French player, Fiona Ligi, looks back on the P1000 BoxtoBox Agency which took place last weekend at the Bandol Club. A tournament that was not easy for her physically.

"I do not give up"

“During the quarter-finals, I suffered a violent fall which threw me off the field, affecting me physically for the rest of the tournament. But the idea of giving up was inconceivable. The desire to continue and give the maximum until the last match, until the last point, was omnipresent! The pain, more or less tolerable in the semi-final, became more intense in the final where accelerating and finishing the points had become impossible.

Despite the violent impact, there was more fear than harm, thanks to the reflexes! Is it a rib sprain or a displaced rib, it is still too early to say, but a few days of rest are necessary before resuming the fight, always with the same determination.

Direction the P1000 of Palavas

“My next tournament will be held in two weeks, a P1000 in Palavas with Typhanie Phaysouphan. Until then I will recover to be 100% as always.

Then it will be vacation time and training to prepare for the start of the new school year in September, which promises to be rich in events.

I am currently awaiting confirmation of a partner for the P2000 in Colomiers, Laura Clergue not being available.

Thereafter, I will participate in the French Championships with Laura.

International tournaments and the French team

“I intend to participate in international tournaments. In July, I had to take a break, because we were very busy at the Mas club in Perpignan with courses for children and adults as well as lessons. But I am preparing my schedule for the start of the school year in order to free myself for these competitions.

My goal is to participate in as many tournaments as possible for this second part of the season (in France and abroad), because my motivation, my determination and my physical form are at the top and I am ready to overcome all obstacles.

And I will give everything to wear the jersey of the France team again, it is my first source of motivation.
