This week is held in southern Spain on FIP Malaga promotion with two French pairs registered in the men's category.

Yesterday afternoon, the pair made up of Bastien Blanque and Julien Seurin entered the competition as seeded number 5. For their first meeting, the two Frenchmen were opposed to Ivan Dafonte Navas and Juan Maria Ramirez Carrasco. Solid and confident, the two players overcame the Spaniards in two sets 7/6 – 6/3. They will therefore face this Friday the pair Sanchez / Rubio in the 1/8th final.

Unfortunately for the second French team, the start of the competition was not as expected. Indeed, the pair composed of Philemon Raichman and Manuel Vives, who made his debut as the number 8 seed, lost 7/6 – 6/1 to Iberians Adrian Martinez Galindo and Francisco Cabeza Teres.

Finally, on the ladies' side we will find only one tricolor team, formed by Wendy Barsotti and Elodie Invernon. Directly qualified in 1/8th, they will therefore start the competition today against the Spaniards Eva Jimenez de la Plata and Maria Alvarez Moya.
