Benjamin Tison was the only French representative still in contention during the FIP Rise Gothenburg. Unfortunately for him, his career ended on Sunday.

After good performances during round of XNUMX and quarter-finals, Benjamin Tison and his partner Victor Mena managed to win by displaying a solid and rhythmic game. This morning, they played the semi-final of this tournament against José Carlos Gaspar and Ignacio Piotto.

Despite a relatively balanced start to the match between the two teams, it was the Spanish-Argentinian duo who managed to take the lead in the first set. Full of determination, the Frenchman and his teammate redoubled their efforts in the second round to reset the counters and thus give themselves a last chance to claim victory. However, the Gaspar/Piotto pair did not give in and put an end to their opponents' hopes of the final when they were leading 5/3 in this final round.

Final score 4/6, 6/4, 5/7.

It is possible that the Franco-Spanish pair will feel some frustration. However, this tournament was also a good opportunity to resume before tackling the Human Padel Open which starts in a week.

Thus, Gaspar / Piotto win their place in the final where they will face Jairo Bautista and Facundo Dominguez.
