The only French representatives at the FIP Rise Isla de la Palma started well in the main draw by winning a complicated first match against the Spanish pair Carla Pozuelo / Natalia Sanz in 2 sets, 6/4 7/5.

Fiona Ligi looks back on this match: “We had difficulty adapting to the conditions at the start of the match, but despite everything, we remained focused, and the opponents had as much difficulty as us in the end.

Then, from the break at 4/2 in the first set, we started to relax. We win 6/4.

In the second set, we start again with strange sensations, we are quickly down 5/2 with 2 set points for them.

We didn't tense up, we continued to play relaxed, and the opponents were tense at not being able to conclude this set.
