The International Federation of Padel has updated its specifications concerning the organization of FIP Tour tournaments.

More money and better conditions for players

The good news is that players will see the prize money evolve significantly.

Indeed, general conditions for holding a FIP tournament are increasingly aligned with elite tournaments with, depending on the category, hotel pick-up, club / hotel shuttles, airport / hotel transfers, a space relaxation for the players, ball collectors, preferential rates for transport, catering offered to the players, etc.

Improvements that have a cost… for the organizers…

A more restrictive organization

Indeed, under such conditions, will we see as it was the case until today, always more FIP tournaments on all continents?

Not easy, even more so for the often very expensive tournaments that take place in public places. The risk is therefore to end up there too with much more traditional tests to reduce additional costs as much as possible.

Everything is the responsibility of the organizer. But that's not all, he must pay between €500 and €10.000 depending on the category to the FIP to have the right to participate in his tournament.

When we go into detail, we realize that the local national TV rights belong to the organizer BUT the rest of the world TV rights belong to the FIP.

If the FIP plays the game, it can be interesting on the other hand to allow media like Padel Magazine to recover a signal for free (note. the management costs remain the responsibility of the media) to rebroadcast a commented match of our French people as we have offered it to you a few times in 2022 with the approval of the FIP.

The bad news: There could be some breakage in terms of FIP GOLD and maybe even FIP STAR if the sponsors don't follow behind.
